Healing Gong & Meditation

What does ‘Self-Care’ mean exactly?  It means let’s focus on your inner being, on nurturing yourself and on doing what empowers YOU!

If you’re taking good care of YOU, you feel grounded, balanced, nourished.  And, the better YOU feel, the more you have of yourself to give to others.


Arrive at least 15 minutes early.  Please Sign the attendance sheet.  Mats will be placed out for you, just pick one you like.  Feel free to bring your own if you like.  Bring a pillow or cushion, blanket or shawl for comfort and to keep you warm.  An eye bag is nice to help you block out all the light and calm you – (you can purchase one for $5.00 at the studio).

We start tuning in with the Adi Mantra:  Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo.  Then we do some yoga breathing exercises followed by some simple yoga warm up exercise appropriate for beginners.  All of this will prepare the body and the mind for the Gong experience.

Then we move into deep relaxation for about 40 minutes with the beautiful Paiste Gong Vibrations.  After the gong we use a sound healing mantra – RA MA DA SA, SA SAY SO HUNG to remind us that the entire universe was built on sound and vibration.  And, as we vibrate this sound we are able to tune into a different level of intelligence and consciousness and we are reminded that we are healers and can heal ourselves.

After the Healing Mantra we end the class with the Long Time Sun Song.
